Most, if not all, parents at one time or another will encounter a parenting topic or skill that they lack the information to make the best decision possible. In those instances, many can turn to a trusted friend or family member for guidance. Others, however, may lack such personal connections or may find it helpful or more comfortable to reach out to someone with no familial ties.

KIDLINE (1-800-CHILDREN) is an anonymous, toll-free, statewide telephone service offering crisis intervention, support, parenting information and referrals to community resources within the state of Louisiana. Call KIDLINE for free parenting or support 7 days a week from 8AM-8PM, for help with any of the following:

KIDLINE is a program of Prevent Child Abuse (PCA) Louisiana. The mission of PCA Louisiana is “to prevent the abuse and neglect of our state’s children. From help with potty training to keeping kids safe from sexual abuse, PCA Louisiana supports parents and children through intensive, evidence-based programs and community-based education.”
